FR Notice – National Saltwater Angler Registry Program

NMFS has established an increase in the annual fee of $29 (from $25) for registration of anglers, spearfishers and for-hire fishing vessels to register under the National Saltwater Angler Registry Program.  The increase in the registration fee will be required effective January 1, 2016.  Exemptions to the Registry still apply.  For more information, click here. Western Pacific U.S. Territories Provide Interventions at WCPFC 12

The Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) held its 12th Meeting in Bali, Indonesia, in December 2016.  At this meeting, the U.S. Pacific Territories provided interventions, or statements, on various fisheries that note the concerns expressed by the territory.

American Samoa presented an intervention on South Pacific Albacore Tuna fishery management and an intervention on the U.S. high seas purse seine fishery limits; The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) and Guam both provided interventions on the skipjack tuna reference points.  Copies of these interventions can be found below:
