NOAA Fisheries is preparing a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement for funding actions conducted by the Saltonstall-Kennedy Program. The program funds projects that address the needs of fishing communities, optimize economic benefits by building and maintaining sustainable fisheries, and increase other opportunities to keep working waterfronts viable. NOAA invites interested parties to provide comments on the scope of the PEIS analysis for potentially funded projects, including:

  • Potential project effects to the human environment
  • Means for avoiding, minimizing, or mitigating those effects
  • Peliminary range of alternatives
  • Any additional reasonable alternatives that should be considered
