SUMMARY:

This final rule removes the swordfish retention limit in the American Samoa deep-set longline fishery. The intent of this rule is toStart Printed Page 71578eliminate wasteful regulatory discards of marketable seafood, increasing efficiency and benefits to the local community and the Nation.

DATES:

The final rule is effective December 10, 2020.
